The wait, while having my fish cooked, was surprisingly long, but it was worth the wait. At some places the fish has been overcooked and extremely dry but at McIvor Road Fish and Chips, the fish was large and just the right degree of moisture. It was very tasty and most enjoyable. Definitely worth going going back and having the fish again.

Potato cake review: a slightly dense and claggy batter which makes me think these are not made in house by the shop. The potato to batter ratio is good, with a slim to moderate cut of potato. The batter seems to crisp up well when fried so not a bad time overall. No comments about the oil freshness as there was not enough evidence to confirm if fresh or old. I would eat these again if I was in the area but I wouldn’t drive an additional distance for these specifically.
